INTOXICATED LORRY DRIVER
FINED £2O AND LICENSE CANCELLED
Henry Mitchell, a carrier, aged 49, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-lorry in tho city. Sub-Inspector Harvey, who prosecuted, said that Mitehell was seen trying to turn tho self-starter on his vehicle outside a hotel in Abel Smith Street, about 5.15 p.m. on Tuesday. As ho was under tlio influence of, liquor he was taken into custody. Messrs. J. A. McGrath and F. G. Cray, J.P.’s, fined Mitchell £2O. and suspended his driver’s license for six months. Accused was allowed three months in which, to find tho money.
