PAGEANT OF INDUSTRIES
4 It is the desire of the New,Zealandmade Preference League to stir up in the hearts of the people of New Zealand a sentiment towards that which is theirs by inheritance, and to. bring forth a pride of country so strong that the actions and habits of this wonderful land will help to steer the Dominion to prosperity. It is therefore offering the general public an opportunity to realise the real extent of New Zealand’s place as a manufacturing country, and the Pageant of Industries to be held in tho Town Hall from October 25 to October 29 vcill not only demonstrate this but will offer a spectacle that must appeal to tho artistic. Mr. \V 11. Honcv the organising superintendent, states that, the elaborate nrrangements entailed jn staging this big production are well in hand. Tho ballets. in the capable hands of Miss Madeleine Vvner, are making excellent progress. The pageant, which is being produced by Mr. Harison Cook, will bo more than a show. !'<■ adds; it will demonstrate that the country deserves tho patronage of ’ its , people and will offer attractive entertainment in a manner which has never been attempted in Wellington before.
