TROTSKY EXPELLED
FROM COMMUNIST INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE CHARGED WITH OPPOSITION ACTIVITIES Trotsky has been expelled from the Communist Inter® national Executive, on the ground that he was continuing his opposition activities. He is charged with being the creator of a secret printing plant, which has been flooding Russia with opposition propaganda.

Because they violated their undertakings in August to cease opposition activities, Trotsky and his boon companion Vuyovitch have been expelled from the Communist International E x e c utive. Trotsky defiantly told the executive that Communist discipline was not binding to him. A m o n g the charges against Trotsky was that he was the creator of a secret printing plant, which was flooding Russia with opposition propaganda. RISING IN AZERBAIJAN BOLSHEVIKS DEFEATED Geneva, September 30. The Georgian Press. Bureau declares that the rising in Azerbaijan, begun in August, continues. The insurgents defeated the Bolsheviks, who lost a field gun and several machine guns. The insurgents occupied Churux, which they are still holding, also maintaining their positions despite the Soviet’s Caspian Sea fleet’s bombardment.
