(Rec. October 2, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 1
For the sake of solidarity a party of nineteen trades councils and Labour branches disaffiliated for not expelling Communists, have sent a letter to the National Labour Executive urging that the anti-Comniunist decisions should not be enforced till members of the partyhave taken a referendum on the subject. and that meanwhile disaffiliated sections should be readmitted. If the referendum decides against the antiCommunist policy, it should be left to the branches to decide whether Communists be admitted.
