NELSON CHAMPIONSHIPS DISAPPOINTING FINALS. Dominion Special Service. Nelson, October 1. The finals of the senior and junior golf championships of Nelson . were played to-day over 36 holes, endihg in disappointing contests owing to the hollow nature of the victories. In the senior championship W. Huggins beat I. Dodds 13 and 12, after being 12 up at the end of the first round; and in the junior, F. Ashby beat G. Hoby 9 and 7 after being 10 up at. the end of the first round. Huggins has reached the final in other years, but this is tlie first time he has won the championship.
