The master of the Marama (Captain T. V. Hill made a quick change at Auckland yesterday. He arrived with the Marama from Sydney in the morning and left later in the day as master of the Niagara bound from Auckland to Sydney. Captain Hill is well known on the trans-Pacific service, as he has been master of several of the Union Steam Ship Company’s vessels on that run. Captain A. C. Showman, master of the Niagara, haa been granted holiday leave, and° Captain Hill took- his place this morning. Captain A. T. Davey, of the Maheno, will come from Wellington to fako command of the Marama. —Special Service.
