Mr A. Harris and Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P.’s, arrived in Wellington from the north yesterday. Mr. Carey, Divisional Superintendent of Railways, arrived in Wellington from the north yesterday.
Appreciative reference was made at the meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union last night to the valuable services which the late Mr. C. A. Knapp had rendered to tlw game over a long period of years, twill as a player and as an administrator. A vote of condolence with his relatives was carried in silence.
