POSITION GROWING WORSE London, September 12. The Riga correspondent of “The Times” savs that the Soviet announces that registered unemployed were 1,353,’000 last year, compared with 948,000 in 1921. It admits that the possibilities of absorption are' decreasing, and unemployment is at present increasing owing io the reduction of State employees on the grounds of economy. ’lhe Don Coal trust s output for the present six hiouths is expected to be 42,000,000 poods below the estimate, owing to the shortage of electricity, unsatisfactory credit, belated supply of equipment, and shortage of qualified workers. —“The limes.
