Meteorological Office, Wellington, September 13, 4 p.m. Present indications are for variable winds, with moderate southerlies prevailing, northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and moderate to fresh westerlies elsewhere. Weather mainly fair, but unsettled at times in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. Barometer little movement generally, but falling temporarily in the south. E. KIDSON.
