PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Makara County Council, acting under and by virtue of the powers conferred on it by Section 120, 121, tho Counties Act, 1920, and by Sections 51, 54, the Rating Act, 1925, and of every and any other power enabling it in that behalf, intends, after the expiration of fourteen (14) days from the first publication of this notice, to make and levy the Rates hereinafter specified on the basis of tho capital value of all rateable property in each Riding of the County of Makara, that is to say: In tho PORIRUA RIDING, a General Rate (including Hospital Rate) of ono penny and nine-sixteenths of one penny in the pound. In tho MAKARA RIDING, a General Rate (including Hospital Rate) of one penny in the pound.
