ALLAN WILKIE SEASON
Amid curtain scenes of the greatest appreciation and enthusiasm, Mr. Allan AVilkio and his talented company closed their AVcllington season at the Grand Opera House last night with a performance of “Twelfth ’ Night." Tho theatre was filled in all parts, and roars of laughter greeted the adventures of Malvolio (Mr. Allan AVilkie), Sir Andrew Oguecheek (Mr. Andrew Keane), Sir Toby Belch (Mr. John Cairns), and tho jester, excellently characterised by Mr. Dennis Barry, whoso work all through has bceu of a high quality. Miss Hunter-Watts made an excellent Cesario, Miss Lorna Forbes invested her role as a great lady with fine dignity, and Miss Dulcie Cherry made a captivating Maria. The famous tavern scene evoked roars jf laughter. At the conclusion, Mr; Wilkie thanked the audience, and through thoso preseut, the public of Wellington, for the excellent support accorded the company, and expressed his special appreciation of the largo attendances of school children.
