A PETONE STREET

SPLAYING BACK SUGGESTED. At the meeting o£ the City and Suburban Highways Board yesterday, Mr. D. R. Hoggard said there was a small matter to which he would like to draw attention for the benefit of Petone. Buick Street, leading from the Esplanade towards the recreation ground, was a fine wide street. At the Jackson Street corner there was a vacant section which might be sold at any time and built upon, and he suggested that-the Petone Borough Council might consider the splaying back of the'corner before that happened. Mr. D. McKenzie, Mayor of Petone, said he would .bring the matter before his council.
