4 A programme of a very pleasing nature was presented by Mrs J. W. Carr at the Sailors’ Friend Society on I uesday, when men just- in from sea gave her and her helpers a rousing welcome. There were many recalls. Ine performers were Mrs. J. W. Carr, Misses Mnrjorie Collins, N. Taylor, Marshall Zelma Carroll. Miss Marshall and Mr. J. W. Carr were at the piano. 'Held by the Enemy" was the subject ot Mr Moore’s temperance chat. rhe competitions were full of fun. Ihe prizes caniG from tho hostess and went to toe Tamaroa and Hororata.
