Tho Government steamer Tutanekai arrived at Wellington at ’1.40 a.m. yesterday from Manuhau Heads, after a seven weeks* trip around- the east and north coast of the North Island. Throughout the trip bad weather was the usual thing, and Captain J. Bollons reported more delay owing to the state of the weather than ho had ever before experienced. The worst weather was encounter-ed-around Cape Maria Van Dieman, where several steamers were seen sheltering. The work of the cruise covered the usual comprehensive survey of tigbthouses and buoys, and the time was fully occupied with repair and similar work. RIMUTAKA STILL DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that tho Rimutaka was further delayed in discharging at Dunedin yesterday, owing to rain. ULIMABOA FROM SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parkcr Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa, which arrived in the stream at Welling ton on Tuesday night from Sydney, berthed at No. 1 north Queen’s Wharf shortly beforo 9 o’clock yesterday morning. The vessel left Sydney at noon on Friday, and twenty-four hours later she ran into a heavy easterly gale with high teas, which delayed her a.rival at Wellington.
