POLICE, CIVIL, AND BY-LAW CASES In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday a seventeen-year-old youth, whose wane was ordered to bo suppressed, was convicted and ordered to come up ior sentence when called upon within twelve mouths on a charge of attempting to commit suicide by cutting a vein 1 his wrist. • , . „ n . John Marshall, a labourer (aged GU), who appeared for sentence on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient lawful means or sup; port, was sentenced to three months imprisonment with hard labour.
