Whangarel, July 11; The Northern Steamship C<?mpany’s steamer Claymore, which was scheduled to reach Whangarei about 3 o’clock this morning, grounded on a mud bank below Onerahi. As it was nearly full tide when she hit the bank, nothing can be done till this afternoon’s tide. The passengers were landed at Onerahi by a launch, and brought to Wliangarei by motor. A heavy north-west gale, accompanied by ra'in, was prevailing when the vessel went ashore. A rough trip was experienced from Auckland.
