HAD ALLIES BEEN UNABLE TO HOLD LINES Toronto, June 22. A special correspondent of the “Toronto Globe” states that General Pershing, at- the Princeton University commencement exercises, said: “If the /Allies had b'eeU unable to hold their line of defence for fifteen months while America got ready we might have been unable to get in to the war at all, or if we had we would have had to fight it alone.”
