NELSON FREEZING WORKS
SECOND OUTBREAK OF FORE B? Telegraph—Pebss association. Nelson, March 18. Another fire occurred in the Nelson Freezing Company’s works at Stoke last evening. It was much more serious than that on Tuesday. The Nelson and Richmond brigades were called, but great difficulty was experienced in reaching the seat of the fire, which seemed to be in two places. The flames were subdued after several hours’ difficult work. The extent of the damage is not yet known, but it will be considerable, and the company will be deprived of the use of two or three chambers for some time.
