WELIINGTON CLUB CHMPIONSHIPS — A. D. S. DUNCAN DEFEATS 0. E. HALES The final of the Wellington Club championship between A. D. S. Duncan and O. E. Hales, was played over db holes on the Heretaunga links during the week-end, Duncan winning by o ad 3, after being 3 up on the morning roud. The match was played in a very tricky wind interfered greatly with the accuracy of the contestants in their long game.’ Despite the bad conditions, both played good golf, Hales, however, being compelled to trail the New Zealand champion nearly all the way. He fought grimly, and with a little more luck in his putting the match might have had a much more interesting finish.
