SIR JOSEPH COOK’S MISSION.

(Rec. March 4, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 4. The mission of Sir Joseph Cook, who will leave for Geneva to-morrow, is for the purpose of appearing before the Council, which the mandatory residents right of direct petition will be discussed. He will also watch the development of the inquisitorial questionnaire, concerning which the Commonwealth sent a lengthy memorandum to tlie Council.

SIR AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN TO ATTEND. (British Official Wireless). Rugby, March 3. Sir Austen Chamberlain (Foreign Secretary) will leave London on Saturday to attend the League of Nations Council meeting, which opens on Monday at Geneva. ______
