Passengers on tlie trains of Into have been much interested in the new Ratana temple, which stands out above all others, and now bears a finished appearance with its white walls, red-capped domes, and tiled roof (says the Wanganui “Herald”). Another interesting feature is the. amount of horticultural work undertaken this season in the fields adjacent to the pa, where numbers of Natives may be seen daily working in the potato and maize crops. Judging by present appearances these crops should return a good yield.
