STRIPPING TONNAGE

NOT AS EXCESSIVE AS PESSIMISTS ASSERT. London, December 29. Sir Walter Runciman, president of the Chamber of Shipping, writing to the "Glasgow Herald,” denies that shipping tonnage is as excessive as pessimists assert.
