FIGURES FOR THE YEAR Bankruptcies in Wellington City and suburbs during the present year totalled 34, as against 29 in 1925. Iwo petitions were filled in the months of December of both this and last year The occupations of those who failed this year are as follow: Accountant, boardinghouse proprietor, bank officer, bootmaker, builder, baker (2), bus proprietor, butcher (2), confectioner (2), contractor, carpenter, dairyman, farmer (2), grocer, garage proprietor, labourer (2), married woman (3), motor driver (2), market gardener, merchant, motor mechanic, poulterer, pastrycook, painter and paperhanger, tailor (2). ’
