“THE DEVIL’S POOL”
SCENE OF BATHING FATALITY. . BY Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, December 27. A youth named Leslie Riddell, aged 16, was drowned while bathing in the Wailiopai River on Sunday afternoon, at a spot known as the "Devil’s Pool,” where several fatalities have occurred. The body was recovered in an hour, but life was extinct.
