Allan Ewbank, late secretary of [ . the South American Missionary society, who was a passenger,' by the Rotorua I from London to-day. Mr. Ewbank retired from the society two years ago, , but still retains an interest in its work, , and, with Mrs. Ewbank, will spend a holiday visit in the Dominion. Mr. Ewbank said the work of the society i penetrated into all the countries of South America, and the cause of Christianity j wag making wonderful progress. One of the great achievements of the society . was its work among the Indians of the ' far south.
