TOLL OF THE MOTOR
ANOTHER VICTIM CLAIMED Uomini"’ m: Auckland, December- 2.4. Through a motor-car crashing over a bank about 15 feet in height in Harbour Street, Ponsouby, at half-past 11 last night, Mr. William Huxtable, aged 19, who resided with his parents at Dominion Road, last his life. The deceased was a passenger in the car, which was being driven by Mr. Reginald Woolley, of Orchard Road, off Dominion The street is a blind one, and very narrow. The accident happened at the end, the car going over the left-haiid side and landing upside down. Mr. Huxtable was pinned down by the side of the car. The driver and Mr. Horace Winstone, of 13 Montague Street, Newton, who was also a passenger in the car, escaped uninjured. A doctor was sent for, but Mr. Huxtable died before aid could be given. An inquest was this morning opened before the Coroner (Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.). Evidence of identification was given by deceased’s father, . The. inI was then adjourned sine dis.
