ROYAL TOUR
THE RENOWN’S ESCORT (Rec. December 21, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 20. It is officially announced in connection with the departure of the Duke and Duchess of York that four destroyers will escort the Renown down the Channel until nightfall, r.o 1 that five Naval flying boats will escort her as far as St. Catherine’s Point. All the warships will be dressed in bunting, and will fire salutes when the Duke and Duchess of York reach Portsmouth, where thev will be received by Major-General Seely, Lord-Lieu-tenant of Hampshire. Admiral Sir Osmond Brock, Naval Commander-m-Chief General Sir Alexander Godley. Commander-in-Chief of the Southern Area and the Mavor of Portsmouth. There will be further salutes as the Renown'departs. Relatives and friends of the crew of the Renown will be permitted to assemble on the- jetty, to witness the cmbarkation of the Duke and Duchess.
