WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS. Activities during the past three weeks were reviewed yesterday at a meeting of the executive committee of the War Rlief Association. The applications and emergency committees reported that since the last meeting 26-1 applications had been dealt with. The number of persons who called at the office during the period under review was 237, of whom 131 had applied for direct assistance, and 103 for indirect assistance. The finance committee reported that 22 applications for monetary assistance bv way of loans had been dealt with. The reports were adopted.
