PURDY UNABLE TO AIEET TROWERN. BY Telegraph. —press association. Palmerston North, December 17. Charlie Purdy, the Auckland lightweight, who was matched by the Alanawatu Boxing Association to meet Reg. Trowem for the Dominion lightweight championship and “Truth” belt, is not able to fulfil his arrangement. The Alanawatu Association promptly cabled for Raymond Jansen, the French lightweight, who is in Sydnev, offering him a fight with Trowem. A reply is now being awaited.
