DEFENCE TRAINING

FEILDING OFFICE CLOSED. Dominion Special. Feildling, December 17. Consequent upon a new scheme of consolidation of training centres being adopted by the Defence Department, the Feilding office has been closed, and transferred to Palmerston North. Resident Staff Sergeant-Major W. Ryan lias received notice of his transfer, and he will take up his residence there on Alotidav. Air. Ryan’s departure from Feilding will be nkeenly regretted in sporting centres. He has been of great service to the Feilding Football Club as coach since he has been in Feilding. He captained the victorious army team which won the King’s Cup in England after the war.
