UNUSUAL WILL CASE
INTERESTS OF DECEASED BENEFICIARY. : Dominion Special. Christchurch, December 17. An unusual case was heard in Hie Supreme Court this niorning by Air. Justice AlacGregor, when the executors of a deceased estate asked for an interpretation of a, will. The Court was asked to determine whether the interests of a beneficiary under the will were divested on her failing to attain the age of 21. The late -Amanda Foulston Porter bequeathed property to Gladys Alma Porter on her attaining 21 years of age, but she died at the age of 18 some months ago. Her parentage was shrouded in mystery. AVhen testatrix was about 50 years of age she made a trip abroad for a few months, and when she returned brought back with her Gladys Alma Porter, aged, then, about four years. The old lady was very reticent, and did not give her relatives any information about the girl’s parentage. Since the girl’s death the executors bad endeavoured to discover her next-of-kin, but had been unsuccessful both in New Zealand' and in England. Judgment was reserved.
