At 4.30 yesterday morning the hulk of the Monowai was successfully sunk at Whareongaonga, 13 miles south ot Gisborne, in a position forming a breakwater protecting the small harbour from which the Gisborne Harbour Board’s supplies of stone for the new breakwater works are to be drawn. —Press Assn.
