SHORTHAND EXAMINATION RESULTS . The following are the successes ot pupils of Banks Commercial College at the recent examination: Government entrance examination for shorthand typists held last November: Senior grade (shorthand, 110 words per minute and typewriting 40 words per minute),-Vivienne.'Law (first on order of merit list for Wellington), Muriel Garratt (third order of merit list), Pearl Silverstone (fourth). Agnes Elliott (fifth), Ruby Fisher (sixth), Muriel Pierce (seventh), M. V. Wall (eighth), Jessie Watt (ninth), Elspeth Campbell (tenth), Esine Wells (eleventh).
Junior grade (shorthand 80 words per minute and typewriting 30 words per minute): Maiorie Jones (first on order of merit list for Wellington), Esme Wells (third order of merit list), Gertrude Avery (fourth), Edna Vear (sixth), Lucy Barber (eighth), Elsie Millen (ninth), Jean Gardner (tenth), Winnie Stewart (eleventh), M. T. Craig (thirteenth). Iris Goldfinch (fourteenth), Elsie Nielson (nineteenth). Speed certificates for Pitman’s shorthand: 130 words per minute, D. Scaife. 120 words per minute, Leot Gibbs and Vivienne -Law; 110 words ner minute, Rosalind Atkinson. Elspeth Campbell, Agnes Elliott. Muriel Garratt, G. McKinlay and Pearl Silverstone.
