BEFORE THE MOTOR

MEMORIES OF COACHING DAYS REVIVED Dominion Special. Christchurch, December 11. Memories of the good old pre-motor days were awakened this morning, when a coach and four was seen in the city streets. It was the first official 'drive of the coach which has been purchased by the Christchurch Coaching Club, and the public displayed, much interest in the vehicle, which is over 40 years old. The object of the club is to keep alive an interest in coaching. This morning the driver was Mr. \V Campbell, who was well known on the run from Arthur’s Pass in the coaching days. It is the intention of the chib to' have a series of drives for city sightseers. The club hopes to take the Duke and Duchess of York for a drive during their visit to Christchurch.
