9 BRAVE STOKER PRAISED. (Rec. December 5, 11.5 p.m.) London, December 5. Survivors of the British sloop of war Valerian, lost during' the hurricane at the Bermudas, have arrived in London. The men particularly praise one of the stokers, who swam with a lifebelt to the raft, saying he was “out visiting.” and cheered up the men, who were in an exhausted condition after twenty-one hours in the sea.
