The Women’s National Reserve has developed a new line of activity—the formation of a welfare branch in order to attend to the welfare of patients, more particularly women patients, in the mental hospital at Porirua. At a meeting of the branch during the week, Mrs. D H. Guthrie was elected president, and Miss Port (who has just returned after a trip from abroad) was elected secretary.
