Foreign matches are to be wold in the British Navy. This is revealed in Fleet Orders, which state that the Naval Canteen Committee have rescinded it resolution, in order to allow of a cheaper brand of matches of foreign origin to be placed on sale in the canteens. A new method of extracting oil from grape seeds has been discoveted by French chemists. After the grapes have been pressed, the seeds are removed from the skins and dried. They are then subjected to a special process which extracts the oil in them. It is stated that about -Stilb, of oil can be obtained from 4501 b. of grape needs.
