Mr. A, H. Cockayne, of Wellington, was in Palmerston North this week. Mr. A. McKav, of Rongotea, has been discharged from hospital, and is making good progress toward recoverv. Mr. H. Miller, of the Oliakune. railway staff, has been transferred to Palmerston North. . Colonel D Munro, of the Agricultural Department at Wanganui, who is leaving for Auckland on transfer, was met by fellow-members of the Wanganui Caledonian Society aud presented with a travelling-rug and a suitcase. . . . , Mr. D. Morris, of Gisborne, is spending a few days in Palmerston North.' Mr. A. Coubray, of Rongotea, has left Rongotea to take up residence in Auckland. The Hon. K. S. Williams was in Palmerston North this week.
