AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

WELLINGTON TO AUCKLAND. As the result of some negotiation the Railway Department has succeeded in arranging a combined rail and motor service, providing, for the first time, an alternative means of travel between Wellington and Auckland, via Gisborne.
