AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
WELLINGTON TO AUCKLAND. As the result of some negotiation the Railway Department has succeeded in arranging a combined rail and motor service, providing, for the first time, an alternative means of travel between Wellington and Auckland, via Gisborne.
The service will be by rail to Napier, thence to Rotorua, via Gisborne, by motor, and from Rotorua to Auckland again by rail.
