Auckland’s Royal Show was of a record nature in more ways than one (remarks the “Star”). A division of the St John Ambulance Brigade (Auckland corps) was present, in charge of Officer Hitchon, and during the three davs they had only two or three minor calls on their services The police had no trouble in carrying out their work, -which included the regulation of the heavv motor traffic One of the senior police officers remarked upon the big attendance of 33,000 on people’s day, and said that he had never seen a more orderlycrowd of people.
