SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.

The anniversary celebrations of the Vivian Street Church of Christ Bible School concluded on Wednesday night. Tea was provided for the'scholars, and atterwards the annual demonstration and prize-giving was held. The superintendent (Mr. Q. Day) presided, and a varied programme of songs, recitations, and dialogues was presented to a large and appreciative audience. The scholars, assisted by the church choir, under tho leadership of Mr. W. J. Mason, sang some special hymns, and the orchestra gave very good music. ' In addition to the prizes presented by the school for the' past year, prizes given by the scholars in the Dominion Churches of Christ Scripture examination were presented by tne superintendent. . The Vivian Street School was successful in gaining four prizes—Zelma Mason, Lowe Thomas, and Iris Mason being awarded first prizes in their grades, and Vera Miller a second prize in the highest grade. To those scholars who attend Sunday School for a whole year without a break, except it be due to sickness, it is the practice to present Robert Raikes displomas, with seals for subsequent years’ complete attendance. Thirty-nine 'diplomas were . presented. Myra Hill had completed twelve years’ attendance, and Hazel Hunter eight years. The following is the prize list-.—First girls: Gerty Thomas, 1; Edna Hyains, 2. Second girls: Zelma Mason, 1; Doris White, 2; Alice Indbrook, 3. Third girls; Nola Austin Ina Coulter, Betty Day, Maud Hyams, Betty Goodwin, 1 (equal) Fourth girls: Louie Thomas and Esther Adams, 1 (equal); Alma Kinloch, 2; Ethel Tyree, 3; Daphne Adams, 4; V.alda King, 5; Lilian Ladbrook, 6. Girls’ Bible Class (junior): Mae Hardwick, Ins Mason Gertrude Stone, and Hazel Hunter, 1 (equal). First boys: Lloyd Shakes. 1; Jack Lindsay, 2; Albert Goldie 3: Herbert Boniface, 4. Second boys: Robert Goldie. 1; Kenwyn Eaton. 2; David Adams. 3. Third boys: Arthur Coulter, Robert Coombe, Thomas Thomas, Clem Charles, and Trevor Eaton, 1 (equal); Ronald Lyster, 3.
