MOTOR SALESMAN KILLED

CAR STRIKES POLE BY ROADSIDE Dominion Special. Auckland, October 25. Fatal injuries were sustained by a motor salesman, Kenneth Mynott (aged 25) who was driving a motorcar which crashed into a telegraph pole in Lower Grafton Road about 4.30 this afternoon. J. Taine, of 48 Grafton Road, who was also in the ear, was cut in the face by flying glass and suffered severely from shock. The accident occurred when the car was opposite the entrance to Blandford Park. Fore some unaccountable reason the car swerved to the righthand side of the road and striking a telegraph pole a glancing blow was thrown to the side of the .road, a distance of about 15 vards. The car did not overturn. Mynott was thrown forward on to the steering wheel, receiving fatal injuries to his.head. Taine was thrown from the car to the footwas attended by Dr. Neil McDougall, and was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the ambulance, but died before the journey was completed. Taine received attention at tlie hospital casualty ward. The motor-car was very considerably damaged. One side was completely torn off, :and the rear portion was " Mvnott was married with one child living at 1 Komaru Street, Remuera. He was employed by Maoriland Motors Limited, one of whose demonstration cars he was drivings
