CYCLING ROAD RACE
WON BY THIRTEEN YEARS OLD BOY
A thirteen years old boy named B. Butzbach won the eight miles cycle road race yesterday for the Boucher Cup under the auspices of the Manawatu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. There were favourable conditions for the event In which there were eighteen starters, the result being as follows: B. Butzbach (6}min.l, I; J. Hanley (smin.), 2; A. York (smin.), 3. The virtual scratch man I. Tate (30sec.) registered the fastest time, his actual riding time being 19 minutes 24 seconds, while W. Pedley with the same handicap covered the distance.
