AN ERRONEOUS IMPRESSION
In connection with the charge f against Victor Carmine in the Magistrate 6 Court on Tuesday of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motorcar. it is explained by Inspector Rawl.e that Sub-Inspector Harvey produced the certificate of the police doctor, Dr. Henry, who examined Mr. Carmine at the station. but that Mr. J. F. B Stevenson, counsel for the accused, objected to the evidence being put in. An erroneous impression was unfortunately given in The Dominion" by the of this portion of the proceedings. The charge was dismissed.
