REFLOATED UNDAMAGED Dominion Special. Auckland, October 13. Advice has been received that, the Union Company’s steamer Kaituna, bound from Gisborne to lauranga, went ashore at the entrance to lauranga harbour between 5 and 6 to-night, rhe tide had turned an hour before and was coming in, and it is hoped the vessei will float off at high tide. Captain Anderson, the Union Company s wharf superintendent, left for Tauranga by the Matangi to-night to investigate. Later. A report has just been received that tlie Kaituna was refloated at high tide to-night. Presumably she sustained no damage. The spot where the Kaituna grounded was tlie' middle bank at the entrance to Tauranga harbour. The Kaituna is a steel single-screw steamer of a gross tonnage of 20-12.
