Dominion Special. A verv pleasant gathering took place at the Clydesdale Hall on Friday, when Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Rose entertained about 200 guests to celebrate the coming of age of their daughter, Margaret. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and visitors were present from the surrounding districts, also Wellington, Wanganui, and Hastings. Dancing was indulged in to music supplied by Mrs. W. Scott, Misses S West and Mason, Messrs. A. Beckman and McKinnon, and musical items were contributed by . Mrs. Melies, Misses H. Teaz. D. Ferguson. R. Ransom, Messrs. North and Kendall. During supper Mr. R. M. Matheson, in a very appropriate speech, proposed the health of Miss Rose, Miss Rose was made the recipient of a large number of handsome and valuable presents. Miss K. Lvons (Taikoroa). who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis, is now convalescent, and lias returned to her home.
