ENGINEER’S REPORT. Dominion Special. Palmerston North, October 11. In reporting to to-day's meeting of the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, Mr. W. A. Waters, chief engineer, said that the reticulation of Rewa was finished. The construction gangs had finished Bryce’s Line and this job would be “cut in” to the Kimbolton feeder one night this week. Makino Road extension had been livened up to Cinder Hill, and supply given several milking plants. Lee’s Line had been finished, and a gang had started on the short Awahuri extension; Fortunately some 11,000 volt insulators, which were Jong over-due had arrived and Penny’s Line was now being finished. The half mile of line down Saunders Road, Mangawhata bad been finished, and supply given. The short extension on Jones Line was also finished. A start was made on the side road Kopane, but the men had been taken off it until the ground was drier. Other work in hand was the changing of the transformers to suit growing loads, and the straightening up of some of the work, which had been put into service with temporary supply when held up for material. The men were now concentrating on finishing these jobs completely, but as they were revenue producing, bad not concentrated on the work in the past.
