All truck and delivery horses owned by the city authorities of Berlin were give" a three weeks’ vacation on a 300-acre municipal horse farm. Officials in charge of the place, formerly a nobleman’s estate, says it pays the city to give horses a rest by the same token that it pays to give human beings a vacation. The animaiS get all the oats and hay they con eat, and prance around the meadows or 101 l in the shade under the trees. Many private business concerns are adopting the idea, sending their horses to Ihe same farm while the drivers are on vacation.
