HAWKE’S BAY v. WELLINGTON The return match between Hawke’s Bay and Wellinton is set down lor decision at Athletic Park on Saturday next. The match will not be a Rani'url.v Shield fixture, but. followers of the. game in Wellington will he anxious to see in action the team which defeated Wellinton for tho Shield at. Napier on Auust Üby 58 points to 8. It is not known what calibre of players Hawke's Bay will send down for the match to strengthen tho southern team at present on tour, but it has been stated that several prominent members of the Hawke’s Bay team have expressed themselves as indignant concerning the alia gations of rough plav which were levelled against the holders of the Shield after the last match with Wellington and have declared that they will not plav against Wellington. The players oonverned include M .Brownlie (captain) A. C. Cooke, and W. R. Irvine. If the
