The American four-masted schooner Columbia, bound from Napier to Auckland. Is now 15 days out. The vessel discharged a full cargo of American lumber at Napier and was then sold to the Devonport Ferry Company, which intends to convert her into a coal bulk. The Columbia sailed from Napier for Auckland on September 7, and at middav on September 15 was sighted by the Wainul In the Bay of Plenty. The schooner was then 15 miles north of White Island, and was standing out to Sea with all sail set. Very stormy weather lias since been experienced on the coast, and no doubt the Columbia was blown well out to son by the westerly gales. Tn her light condition the vessel would have consldcrob’e difficulty tn regaining the coast, and in consequence her arrival at Auckland may be further delayed.
